1. What LeadHawk does
LeadHawk is a lead-generation tool for web design agencies. It queries the public Google Places API (New) using a location and niche you provide, filters the returned businesses, and displays them in the web app or Chrome extension. LeadHawk does not sell the returned business listings and does not enrich them with private personal data.
2. Information we handle
- Search inputs — Country, City, Niche, Areas, and filter values you enter.
- Business listings from Google — name, address, rating, review count, phone, website, and category, returned by the Google Places API.
- Local preferences — theme, saved leads, and recent search history are stored in your browser's
localStorage. They never leave your device unless you explicitly export them. - Basic request metadata — standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) generated when your browser calls the LeadHawk backend.
3. What we do not collect
- We do not require an account, email, or password to run a lead search on the public site.
- We do not sell your search inputs or the resulting lead lists to third parties.
- We do not run cross-site advertising trackers on this site.
4. Third-party services
- Google Places API (New) — powers every real-time search. Your search inputs are forwarded to Google to fetch matching businesses.
- Google AI (Gemini) — used for the optional AI website audit and pitch generator. Only the URL and public page content of the site being audited are sent.
- Lovable — hosts the LeadHawk web app and serves it globally.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy that governs how they process the data forwarded to them.
5. Chrome extension
The LeadHawk Chrome extension is a client for this same backend. It stores only your saved API URL, filter preferences, and starred leads locally in the browser. It does not read page contents of the sites you visit and does not run in background tabs.
6. Data retention & deletion
Locally stored preferences and saved leads live in your browser until you clear them — use the "clear" control on the Saved tab, or clear site data from your browser settings. Backend request logs are retained only as long as needed for security and reliability.
7. Your choices
- Clear saved leads and search history from within the app at any time.
- Uninstall the Chrome extension to remove all extension-side storage.
- Contact us to request deletion of any data you believe we hold about you.
